Mustang Introduces Revolutionary ADAS Testing System
Mustang Dynamometer, a global leader in the design and manufacture of the highest quality, most accurate testing equipment such as performance chassis, engine, and transmission dynamometers and emissions testing systems, has announced the launch of a groundbreaking new testing solution developed specifically for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This innovative system, developed with the support of Rohde & Schwarz, enables precise, efficient, and affordable testing of critical ADAS functions. The new system can be installed in existing inspection lanes, and collision repair shops, which makes it economical for a wider variety of potential customers.
The system accommodates all-wheel drive vehicles, and integrates a compact, radar target simulator that has unmatched performance. Together, the system performs comprehensive testing and validation of five core ADAS functions:
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA): Simulates approaching objects from the side or blind spots.
- Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB): Recreates emergency scenarios to evaluate braking response.
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC): Tests the vehicle’s ability to maintain safe speed and following distance.
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW): Simulates unintentional lane drifting without signaling.
- Visual Inspection Mode: Allows for systematic visual verification of ADAS sensor calibration and functionality.
