For instances where a performance shop is interested in performing basic dynamometer runs for peak power measurement and overlapping multiple runs to quantify performance gains or losses resulting from changes to the vehicle, the MD-800 offers the perfect combination of competitive pricing and performance capabilities as an inertia-only dyno, while allowing an easy upgrade path to add power absorption when you are ready to offer professional steady-state tuning services. Once added, the eddy current upgrade allows for steady state tuning of high performance EFI vehicles via a 900-hp power absorber module.
With a large single 24″ roller, the MD-800 is capable of handling most rear-wheel drive and sport compact steady state tuning applications with ease. Also available with the more sophisticated eddy current dynamometers is the ability to perform road-load simulation, 1/4 mile passes, 1/8 mile passes and more. Add the Integrated Drag Racing Timing System and our NEW DragSim Real-Time Race Animator and now you can run an indoor drag racing league right inside your facility, regardless of the weather outside.
The standard MD-800 is designed to be installed in a pit for a flush-floor installation, but the compact system also is easily mounted right on your shop floor with the addition of a 4 post lift option.
