MAE upgrades CalsonicKansei Thermal Climatic & Solar Wind Tunnel with a state-of-the-art AWD 48″ AC Motor Chassis Dynamometer with Fully Regenerative Drive Technology.

In April, 2006 Mustang Advanced Engineering completed an upgrade for CalsonicKansei of their existing Thermal Climatic & Solar Wind Tunnel Test Cell, replacing an existing 48″ 2WD Eddy Current chassis dynamometer with a state-of-the-art AWD 48″ AC Motor Chassis Dynamometer with Fully Regenerative Drive Technology. MAE delivers complete Inspection Maintenance and Mobile Vehicle Safety Inspection Lane to NATRiP R&D Infrastructure Project

June 15, 2010 – Twinsburg, Ohio - Over the past 18 years Mustang Advanced Engineering has supplied Inspection Maintenance (I/M) systems in India several of these systems are installed in the cities of Delhi, Goa, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The latest project, with NATRiP, will serve as a basis for Vehicle Inspection Equipment & System testing throughout India in the future. For this project, Mustang designed, engineered and manufactured two complete safety lanes, one catering to 2 wheeled, 3 wheeled, and passenger cars and the other for Light, Medium, and Heavy Commercial Vehicles, while also providing a Mobile Vehicle Safety Inspection Lane, the first of its kind supplied by Mustang. MAE recently developed the MD-AC-1200-10K Engine & Durability Dynamometer

The ever-present push for increased performance, fuel economy and durability and recent rule and policy changes taking place in regulated industries such as NASCAR combine to create serious challenges for engine developers. These challenges require well-developed test solutions. MAE delivers two containerized engine test cells for Anham L.L.C. to the TAJI National Depot-Iraq.

Mustang Advanced Engineering recently delivered and installed two engine test cell containers for Anham L.L.C. to the TAJI National Depot – Iraq. The cells will not be duplicate cells due to different engine support requirements for each engine type, Test Cell #1 will be used to test larger engines and Test Cell #2 will be used to test smaller engines than in Test Cell #1. Both cells contain an engine cart and cart receiver, the engine cart will have the engine mounted to it via a rear bell housing bolt pattern and normal mounting pads for the engine in a power pack configuration. MAE delivers EOL high throughput production line tester for Club Car.

Club Car has constructed a new high throughput production line for the assembly of electric and gasoline powered golf cars which called for an EOL tester. The new production line is a high throughput conveyor driven line with a pull line time cycle of 60 seconds; capable of 60 jobs per hour. The primary factor to keep in mind is there is 45 seconds to perform the required test with 15 seconds of move-in and move-out time. (more…)
Mustang goes head-to-head with GM Electro-Motive’s Diesel-Electric Locomotives

May 31, 2002 – Twinsburg, Ohio - Mustang Dynamometer today announced that it has been awarded a contract to supply four complete dynamometer systems to General Motor’s Electro-Motive Division. The new test systems are a part of GM EMD’s plans to upgrade and expand the present testing facilities within their LaGrange, Illinois manufacturing and rebuild plant. (more…)
MAE delivers Track & Wheeled Multi-Function and Validation Test System for Caterpillar’s Multi-Terrain Loader & Skid Steer Loaders.

Mustang Dynamometer delivered an End Of production Line (EOL) Multi-Function and Validation Testing System located in Caterpillar’s Sanford, S.C. Multi-Terrain Loader (MTL) & Skid Steer Loader (SSL) Production Facility. For this project Mustang supplied the test equipment, vehicle interface data acquisition system, Manufacturing Automation Production & Performance Software (MAP2S), engineering for test development, including system design, installation assistance, start-up and training. Caterpillar was so impressed with the system that after the first quarter of operation Caterpillar asked Mustang to up-grade the software on other existing test stands to be compatible with MAE’s software system. MAE delivers phase 1 of contract to supply 400 HP axle test stand Funk Manufacturing

Mustang announced completion of phase 1 of a 3-phase agreement to supply axle test stands to John Deere’s axle division Funk Manufacturing Company. Funk Manufacturing Company is an integral division of John Deere and is engaged in the research, design, and supply of heavy-duty axles and transmissions to the world-renowned manufacturer of farm tractors and heavy-duty industrial plant. MAE delivers EOL Standard & Anti-Lock Brake Systems with Load Dynamometer to Honda of America.

The testing equipment is designed for use as an End-of-Line Motorcycle Standards & Anti-Lock Brake Tester with a Full Speed Load Dynamometer capability with software prompting for test execution. The specific equipment this test stand has been designed for are Honda Motorcycles with a wheelbase between 53.75” (1365.25 mm) and 67.00” (1930.4 mm). The EOL Motorcycle Brake Tester and Load Dynamometer will allow functional testing of standard user brakes at low speeds and anti-lock braking systems at higher speeds as well as full speed loading of motorcycle.
