Functional End of Assembly Line Testing
For final assembly testing located in a single lane environment, quality control testing may be achieved via a unified, multi-purpose, multiple sensing system integrated via a common programmable microcomputer control system. The modular design enables the manufacturer to confirm quality across the full spectrum of vehicle performance while incurring minimal costs.
A dynamometer system simulates a programmed drive-cycle while monitoring shift points, speedometer accuracy, engine output, acceleration, braking force, and drive-axle slip, while metering devices analyze vibrations, temperatures, pressures, fuel consumption, and exhaust content. Large scale full function test systems are developed for 'shakedown' after final assembly, verifying mechanical brake performance, ABS performance, nominal engine performance, electrical system integrity, and suspension system integrity. Independent-wheel, four-wheel drive, AWD, multiple wheelbase, and multiple axle configurations are available to accommodate diverse product lines with limited available space.
Mustang Dynamometer's past clients include distinguished firms in the industrial, automotive, government, and military industries. Among these include Daewoo Heavy Industries, Stewart / Stevenson (IBM), US Army - Yuma Proving Grounds, Dexter Automotive, Navistar International, Western Star Truck, MTD Lawn Equipment, Crown Equipment, KIA Motors, Saturn, Chrysler, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, and Honda.
As a full system provider, Mustang Dynamometer can design your end-of-line test system from the ground up to accommodate your unique needs. Contact Mustang Dynamometer for information on how we can help you achieve the quality that you expect.
