ASM TEST- A test procedure established by the EPA. The procedure consists of driving the vehicle upon a dynamometer at a fixed and constant speed, with a fixed and constant load while monitoring the exhaust emissions. A variety of ASM tests are available, the most popular are 25/25 and 50/15. Test speeds for these two procedures are 25 miles per hour or 15 miles per hour and the test cycle is typically between 60 and 180 seconds.
