Mustang Dynamometer, the global leader in dynamometer test systems, has developed the Universal Inspection Maintenance Test System (U-I/M) for communities concerned about the effects of both gasoline and diesel related mobile emissions on the environment. By incorporating the MD-SMK-DT Diesel Opacity Smoke Meter for diesel lugdown testing, the system reaches beyond that of the traditional ASM test system to diesel powered vehicles, the chief mobile source of harmful Particulate Matter. The MD-100-M-HD Eddy Current Dynamometer, a larger version of the traditional ASM Chassis Dynamometer, was designed to test both diesel and gasoline powered vehicles via the enlarged eddy current PAU and increased axle capacity. 
 
The user-friendly software supplied with the system can be configured to issue a pass/fail analysis based on the data collected, and is presented in a familiar Windows™ format. Mustang Dynamometer’s Diesel Lug-Down Software Program, as supplied with the U-I/M Test System, has been approved by the Hong Kong EPD for use in the Hong Kong Heavy Duty Diesel Lug-Down Test Program.
