Mustang has developed a low-cost, simple to use, easy-to-install road simulator that can be used inside the shop environment to simulate real-world driving conditions in a safe, controlled environment.

The MD-RG3000 Road Master™, is a low-profile road simulator with industry proven design features that parallel those features found in smog dynamometers. These features include 8.5-inch rollers, heavy duty spherical pillow-block ball bearings, welded structural steel frame and industry standard air-cooled, Eddy Current Power Absorption Units (PAU) for road-load simulation. The standard RG-3000 also features drop-in vehicle restraints, an easy to use operator interface panel with stand, installation hardware and a maintenance friendly mechanical roller-lock.

The RG-3000 can be installed in you'r shop in 2 different ways - in a pit or aboveground with ramps. In-ground installation is the standard installation configuration. In-ground installations provide for a clean, space friendly installation, but require construction and are typically only recommended for shops that own their own facility, or are long-term tenants. Aboveground installation kits are available for shops that do not wish to install the RG-3000 in the floor for various reasons. The aboveground installation is typically easier, less expensive, and provides for a quicker, easier installation process. In addition, an optional portability kit is available which allows for limited movement fo the RG-3000 out of the way when not in use.
