MD-7000 Control Platform - Emissions Tests

Diesel Lugdown

The Lugdown test allows the operator to drive the vehicle under test to its maximum operating speed, under no load, at which point the operator must press the "Mark Top Speed" button to begin testing. The test will then force system speed to various percentages of its maximum speed as determined by the "%Speed", "Time" & "Last?" field values. For example, the vehicle could be lugged down to 90% of its top speed for 15 seconds, then to 80% of its top speed for 15 seconds, then to 70% of its top speed for 15 seconds, and the test could then end. This test is very useful when used with the optional opacity meter.

ASM 25/25

This test allows the operator to specify a vehicle weight, testing horsepower & testing times for conducting an ASM 25/25 test. The test results are an indicator of whether the vehicle's speed stayed within the allowable range during the testing period. This feature is very useful when used in combination with the optional five gas analyzer for emissions repair work.

Driver's Trace (option)

This (optional) test allows the operator to run any of the most popular vehicle simulation driving tests, with a real-time, scrolling driver's aid. Supported tests include the IM-240, FTP, 505 MT, BAR 31 Int., ECE 1504 A/M, and Japanese 10/11. This feature is very useful when used in combination with the optional five gas analyzer for emissions repair work.

Loaded Mode

This test allows the operator to specify a loaded mode test similar to the ASM 25/25 and ASM 50/15, but with user-specified power and speed values.
