MD-7000 Control Platform - Diagnostic Tests |
Vehicle Simulation |

This test maintains a load on the vehicle under test equivalent to the load the vehicle would see on a flat, windless road, according to the operator entered vehicle weight and vehicle hp @ 50 mph using Mustang’s patented Virtual Inertia™ Technology. |
Constant Horsepower |

This test allows the operator to specify a horsepower loading to impose on the vehicle under test. Once a target power number has been entered, the selected loading is kept constant by the system. |
Manual Loading |

This test applies a constant load on the vehicle under test. The operator directly selects an output level for the PAU(s) in the dynamometer during testing. The exact load will vary somewhat with speed and temperature, but is extremely stable in short term situations. |
Constant Loading |

This test allows the operator to specify a torque loading to impose on the vehicle under test. Regardless of speed, the selected loading is kept constant by the system. |
Constant Speed |
This test allows the operator to specify a constant speed to impose on the vehicle under test; the selected speed is kept constant by the system. |
Speedometer Test |

This test provides a comparison test to check the speedometer accuracy of the vehicle under test. |
Included in the MD-7000 software package are a complete battery of tests for diagnosing vehicle performance and drivability problems. Diagnostic tests allow you to diagnose drivability complaints quickly and easily without ever leaving the shop.
