Absolutely. Though some high-stall
torque converters may affect final results, tuning can be done
on a Mustang dyno just like on the road. Interestingly, hub-type
dynos can only test vehicles with manual transmissions. Since
a hub-type dynamometer has no inertia, automatic transmissions
and torque converters give them fits. Dynapack claims to
have a solution forthcoming - however, as their mechanical
design is the drawback, their solution will likely be
complicated and costly.
