Not likely. To MD's knowledge there
has never been a physical injury incurred to a person as a
result of a dyno test on a Mustang Dynamometer. Cars can
come off the rollers, but they do not go anywhere. Moreover, the
only way to exit the rolls and keep going is to try to do so
(keep your foot to the floor and steer off dyno). It is
physically impossible to "launch" a vehicle off of a
roller set as the vehicle does not have any momentum, even if
you were to cut all straps in the middle of the test. Worst case
scenario: your car burns through two or more straps (due to
poor location of straps and the exhaust burns the straps) and
ends up cockeyed on the rollers, no harm done. On the other
hand, we have heard of several cars being dropped by owners of
hub-type dynamometers.
